Business Overview

Florida Southern College prepares students to compete in today’s complex global market by equipping them with the skills needed to understand the language of business. All business programs are AACSB accredited which is the highest level of achievement for business education.

Bachelor of Science in Accounting

Students can earn their accounting degree entirely online, through hybrid courses, or on campus in Lakeland. Students completing their degree will be prepared to apply for graduate programs in accounting. The business school at Florida Southern is accredited by the AACSB, which is the highest accreditation business program can receive.

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration

Students can earn their business administration degree from an AACSB accredited program and determine their own schedule. The Adult undergraduate program prepares students to be competitive in a global market and allows them to choose up to 20 credit hours of coursework in the career path of their choice.

The 10 course management certificates is an efficient and effective way for students to gain practical leadership skills and improve their opportunities for career advancement. All courses are taught by business school, which has earned the high mark of AACSB accreditation.

The bachelor of science in communication will provide students with opportunities to improve their speaking and writing skills. Elementary Education Degree

Florida Southern College is known for being the top private elementary education program in the state. The education program has a longstanding partnership with the public school system. All students will have supervised work experience in school classrooms with students and teachers.

Nursing, RN to BSN

Registered Nurses can complete their BSN at the Lakeland campus, through hybrid courses or online. The Florida Southern College RN to BSN program is accredited by the Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
