Dr. John Nicklow is the seventh leader in the history of the University of New Orleans. He was selected President by the University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors on March 16, 2016. Prior to his ascent to the presidency, he spent nine months as the University’s Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. President Nicklow brings to the position nearly 18 years of higher education experience as a faculty member and administrator with extensive experience in research, enrollment management, student success initiatives, fundraising, campus-wide collaborations and academic program innovation.

Andrew Smith is Chair of the Undergraduate Adult Education Program at Nichols College in Dudley, MA. The first to hold this position at Nichols, he is responsible for serving post-traditional undergraduates by scheduling, staffing, and administering hybrid, online, accelerated, and intersession courses. He holds a PhD from Purdue University and is also an Assistant Professor of Sport Management and History. Dr. Smith teaches face-to- face as well as online courses in a variety of programs at Nichols but almost always in his research field: sports in America and the World.

Associated with the University of St Francis for over 40 years, Chuck brings a wealth of experience in higher education. His responsibilities have had him working closely with accreditation, student records, financial aid, scholarship programs, and students at the undergrad, adult degree completion and graduate levels. He has been a frequent presenter on financial a college education, planning for college and adults returning to the classroom. He has served on numerous boards and has been past president of the Illinois Association of College Admission Counselors and the Chicago Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities.

Justin G. Roy is an enrollment strategist who is an advocate for diversity, first-generation students, and adult learners. He is not only the Dean of Admissions, but also someone who has passion for the student experience and who bonds with the students he interacts with on a regular basis. With over 15 years of experience in recruitment, marketing, operations planning, and business development for both private industry and higher education, his accomplishments includes developing growth strategies for private institutions, developing and growing degree completion programs for adult learners, and working with institutions to focus on affordability, accessibility, and the student experience.

Dr. Daniel Gonzalez directs the Extended Campus unit at the University of New Orleans, where he has taught, administered, and served since 2002. Under his direction, UNO Extended Campus aims to expand career and learning opportunities for students in the New Orleans metropolitan region and beyond.

Laurie Quinn, Ph.D.

Laurie Quinn serves as Provost & Senior Vice President for Academics at Champlain College. Before moving to Vermont in 2014, Dr. Quinn was Vice President for Academic Affairs/Chief Academic Officer at Granite State College, in the University System of New Hampshire. Previously she has worked as a faculty member teaching writing and literature, and as a Humanities Council program and grants director. She earned her B.A. and M.A. at Boston College and her Ph.D. at the University of New Hampshire. As a higher education leader, Laurie views her career as providing the privilege of advancing the transformations that college makes possible.

Dr. Cyndi Wilson Porter, Vice President for Extended Academic Programs, has been with UIW since 2000. She holds the Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Akron; a Master of Science in Chemistry from the University of Akron; and a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from the College of Wooster (OH). Dr. Porter’s areas of responsibility include the activities of the School of Professional Studies, the School of Applied Sciences and primary liaison for active duty military programs.
