Baker University’s on-ground Bachelor of Science in Nursing students are encouraged to spend their first two years at Baker’s College of Arts and Sciences in Baldwin City, Kansas. Once they complete the prerequisites at Baker’s College of Arts and Sciences, they complete the required nursing courses at the Stormont Vail Health campus in Topeka, which is designated a Magnet Hospital for Nursing Excellence by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. This gives students the best of both worlds: two years of the traditional undergraduate experience—clubs and organizations, sorority and fraternity life, residential living, campus events, friendships, varsity athletics—followed by two years of preparation for a meaningful nursing career.
Students can complete the online accelerated BSN in 14.5 months while working at the same time. Didactic courses are offered 100% online, and students take their in-person clinical experiences at a Magnet designated hospital for nursing excellence. The clinical experiences are spread throughout the semester and offered over a long weekend to decrease the need to take time away from a job.
Our ADN to BSN program was created for nurses who hold an ADN and want to advance their knowledge, skills, and earning potential. All coursework is done online, and the leadership capstone is completed in the student’s community so they can earn their degree where they live and work.

The BSN bridge courses and MSN program can be completed in as few as three years, depending on transfer credits. Baker’s academic advising team partners with students to help them plan their courses so they can efficiently continue their education and earn a master’s degree.
ADN to MSN students may apply for a variety of financial aid. Our accelerated nursing programs are recognized by SR Education Group as some of the most affordable.
Baker’s Master of Science in Nursing program is recognized by SR Education Group as one of the most affordable. Our online MSN graduates increase their earning power, are positioned as leaders, sharpen their nursing skills, and elevate the nursing profession at a time when clinicians have never been more important. Students have their choice of two tracks:
- MSN in nursing education prepares graduates to teach the next generation of expert clinicians and nursing faculty.
- MSN in nursing administration prepares graduates to lead nursing teams and build practice standards.
Online MSN students join the program without relocating or leaving their full-time job. Classes start in January, June, and August. Students can finish in as few as two years, depending on transfer credits, and have the flexibility to switch between full and part-time or pause for up to 12 months.
Our program is small by design so that faculty and staff are accessible. Although students don’t have to come to campus, they have full access to powerful resources like personal career advisers who help them pick courses and practicums so they can efficiently earn an MSN while maintaining their work as a nurse.
MSN graduates are prepared to fill health care gaps. Hospitals, physicians’ offices, nursing care facilities, and schools need nurse leaders and educators to provide exceptional patient care and make decisions to drive better outcomes—and prepare future nurses to do the same. MSN graduates are prepared for the following roles:
- Chief nursing officer or executive
- Director of nursing
- Forensic nurse consultant
- Nurse administrator
- Nurse consultant
- Nurse educator
- Nurse manager
- Nurse researcher
MSN students may apply for a variety of financial aid.
Baker University also offers an online ADN to MSN bridge program for students who already hold an ADN and are ready to pursue an MSN. Our ADN to MSN program eliminates repetition, allows students to progress at their own pace, and helps them graduate faster without relocating or leaving their full-time job. Students complete seven bachelor’s-level bridge courses and then start Baker’s MSN program. Students may be able to transfer credit for or test out of three of the seven courses. Practicums are created in the student’s community.
