Molly Norton, MBA student
Molly always planned to go back to school, and when the opportunity to earn her MBA at York College came up, she jumped on it. The program she’s taking is with a cohort of some of her coworkers from York Water. Molly says the program “takes the MBA and puts a public utilities industry spin on it to make it more relevant to everyday life. For one project, we identified, researched, and presented findings on an issue in our current company. The result was something real, something beneficial, that we could actually take back to the workplace. It was a really cool way to learn and research.”
The flexibility of the MBA program at York College has allowed Molly to easily manage work, her personal life, and school without feeling overwhelmed. “The relationships you can have with teachers was a big draw for me,” she says. “I didn’t want to be lost in the crowd. They’re very accommodating and understand that we also have lives.”
