Rochester Institute of Technology—Computing & Information Sciences
RIT is home to one of the largest and most comprehensive computing colleges in the United States. They offer a wide variety of graduate computing-related programs. These programs prepare students for careers in security, cryptography, artificial intelligence, robotics, software engineering, human-centered computing, game design, networking, computer science, and more.
In 2016-17, 25 percent of graduate students completed at least one semester of cooperative education (CPT). More than 600 international students on F-1 and J-1 visas are currently completing 1–3 additional years of post-graduation training (OPT) at companies in the U.S. The overall class of 2016 graduate student outcome rate was 97.4% and the median starting salary of graduates of these computing programs was approximately $80,000. Companies who have hired graduates of the computing-related programs include Amazon, Apple, Boeing, Cisco, Dell, eBay, Google, Hewlett Packard, IBM, Intel, Intuit, Kodak, McAfee, Microsoft, Panasonic, SONY, Twitter, US Government, Verizon, VISA, Xerox, and Yahoo to name a few.
