Admission to Belhaven University’s RN to BSN online program is competitive and enrollment is limited. The School of Nursing Admission Committee encourages all candidates to submit their application as early as possible to allow for adequate processing time. Only applicants who submit complete applications are considered for acceptance into the program. It is the responsibility of the student to assure that their admissions files are complete.

Application for admission to the Nursing Program is a separate process from application to Belhaven University. However, in order to apply for admission to the nursing program, one must also be admitted to Belhaven. Students must complete the general education and pre-requisite courses prior to applying for admission to nursing program.

Belhaven University seeks to introduce all students to the study of human behavior and mental processes within a Christian worldview context. Emphasis is placed on developing the students’ ability to understand and apply social service principles in their everyday lives, and an important goal is to help students in their ability to appropriately interrelate their social service degree and the Christian faith.

Students interested in a concentration in Christian Ministries to prepare them for further study in the area of Christian Ministry must complete the BASS degree requirements along with eleven additional credits in biblical studies.

Interdisciplinary Studies is a bachelor’s degree that permits less specialization than is required for other majors. Students fulfill their interdisciplinary major with 42 hours of course work from two to four area concentrations, rather than a single subject major. At least 9 hours must be taken in each area. The course of study culminates in a capstone experience under the supervision of the dean.
